Charity Shop Homeware Finds

Since I moved into my house 9 months ago, I can't even begin to tell you just how much money I've had to spend; bearing in mind, this house was move-in ready (almost) and on the surface - appeared to require very little immediate cost to live comfortably in. I soon found out that houses like to tell you their secrets once you've got the keys. According to Aldermore's First Time Buyer Index, first time buyers spend an average of £15,509 decorating and furnishing their homes. Long story short, I've racked up some credit card debt and to avoid getting deeper into it - I've started scouting charity shops for household items and second-hand interior pieces and so far...so good!!! Here are some of the absolute charity shop homeware finds and bargains I found.

Bamboo & Wicker Ottoman/Footstool

Vintage Mid Century Modern Ottoman Chest

Also pictured: 'ULURU' by Aboriginal artist, Danny Eastwood - cost me £3.50

2 Wooden Dining Chairs

Retail price online: £85 - £240

I paid: £3.99 per chair

Framed artwork on the right is by Shai Digital

Gold effect framed mirror

Retail price online: £110 - £600

Nesting Table

Retail price online: £195 - £375

(Admittedly...I only picked it up because it was cheap. It's stayed in this spot in the lean-to area ever since, just gathering dust. I will find a use for it one day.)

And lastly, I found this pretty piece of art for £4.50 complete with a quality frame :)

'A Cottage Garden' by Walter Frederick Osborne
