Bambush is a platform celebrating Black culture, creativity and expression in every space, place and feeling we call home. It's a space for discovering Black artists and makers, downloading original pattern prints for DIY projects, and reading honest reflections on the journey of making home.
Bambush is for anyone who wants to bring Black culture, creativity and joy into their living spaces and for those on a journey of exploration to find and create home.
You can reach me "Kei" at kei@bambush.co.uk. Whether you have a question about a pattern, want to apply to the artists collection, or just want to say hey, I would love to hear from you :)
The Pattern Print Shop is where you'll find original seamless repeat patterns designed in-house, inspired by nature, ancestry and culture. These are digital files that you can download and upload to a fabric printing service to have printed onto fabric, wallpaper or other surfaces.
You'll receive a high-resolution JPEG and a .PAT file. No physical product will be shipped. The file is ready to upload to a print service of your choice as soon as you've downloaded it.
Once you've downloaded your file, you can upload it to a fabric or surface printing service such as Contrado or Spoonflower. They'll print your chosen pattern onto the material you select. A print company resource guide is included with every purchase to help you get started.
Yes. Every pattern in the shop is a seamless repeat, which means it can be printed continuously across as many yards of fabric or surface as you need without the design breaking.
Absolutely. The personal license covers items made for your own use and as gifts for friends and family.
Not currently. The personal license covers personal, non-commercial use only. Selling items made using Bambush patterns, whether online, at markets or through any other channel, is not permitted.
This is not permissible. Each purchase grants a license to one individual. If someone else would like to use the pattern, they'll need to purchase their own license.
Due to the nature of digital downloads, all sales are final once the file has been downloaded. If you experience a technical issue with your file, please get in touch with Kei at kei@bambush.co.uk
The Black Artists Collection is a growing directory of Black artists and makers from around the world who create work for use and display within living spaces.
From textiles and ceramics to wall art and homeware, the collection is here to connect you with their work.
When you click through to an artist, you'll be taken directly to their shop to browse and buy.
Artists can apply to be featured in the directory (i've tried to make the process as quick as possible!) If you're a Black artist or maker creating work for the home and you'd like to be listed, please get in touch through the application form on the collection page. Access the Black Artists Collection page here.
No. Bambush is a directory. Each artist listing links directly to the artist's own shop, where you can browse and purchase from them. All transactions happen between you and the artist.
